In a lesson about entrepreneurship, the teacher has asked you to identify a job that is related to the career you want to study and plan to open a business. Among the people on your team, you should formulate and distribute the tasks that each person could carry out in the hypothetical company.

Let´s get this done!

Regardless of the questionnaire, you should also take into consideration some aspects of your life that could be interesting when making this decision.

Answer the following questions:

  1. When you were a kid, what things did you usually enjoy more when doing them? Which ones did you usually hate the most?
  2. What are your current hobbies?
  3. At school, which one was your favourite subject? And the most boring?

Step 2

Read this article about Business Skills to Run Your Own Businessand try to find at least three more about this subject. Then, ask yourself the following questions:

What do you learn from it?

Is there anything you see more interesting? Or not interesting at all?

Within the group, which skills you feel more conected to? And with which ones not? What about your colleagues?

Step 3

To set up a business is a huge challenge. Not everybody is able to work alongside others taking their opinions on board and listen to them with an open-minded attitude. Now is the moment, you will have to decide who is going to be responsible for what in for the company.

To prepare for this process complete the following tasks:

  1. Prepare a little paragraph to talk to you colleagues about your ideas to set up the company. This have to include the position you consider you should take and why, what idea would you consider the driving force of the company and how do you think you could encourage and take care of your workers in order to create a favorable and good working environment.
  2. Listen to the speech of your colleagues and decide between you all who will take each position.

Now it´s time to set the activities each of you will be carrying out to start the company. Taking into consideration the role that each one will have, write down a formal schedule I that also detail the activities that you are going to carry out. Find guidance here.

Step 5

Now is the moment to launch the company on social media. Try to get your idea to your friends and family. Create a company profile on the social networks you know, e.g instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn

Step 6

Of course the best way to start a business is to make the world know the team. Write a newsletter in which you present each member of the team, developing in a paragraph what is their job in the company and why did they chose it.
